Working in close partnership with both rural and urban early childhood programs across Oklahoma, the team employs a mixed-methods design that integrates a 2×2 randomized controlled trial with continuous air quality monitoring, virology testing, and educator surveys and interviews. Nearly 1,000 Oklahoma early educators participated in an initial survey examining their knowledge and perceptions of environmental health. Collectively, these data provide critical insights into which strategies are most effective, feasible, and sustainable for implementation in early care and education (ECE) settings.
